Washburn Valley and Mid-Wharfe Churches
map

Our Churches are grouped with three other parishes and two Methodist churches (Timble and Norwood) to form the Washburn Valley and Mid-Wharfe Churches.
In 1984 the parishes of Fewston with Blubberhouses, Farnley and Leathley became a United Benefice. From 1996 the Priest-in-Charge of the three parishes has been the Vicar of Weston and Denton in nearby Wharfedale. After working together for a number of years, the parishes formally became a United Benefice in June 2008.
The new benefice is called the Washburn and Mid-Wharfe and comprises the Anglican churches in the parishes of Fewston with Blubberhouses, Leathley, Farnley, and Weston with Denton. The churches work closely with the two local Methodist churches – at Timble and Norwood.
